What is Clay Sculpting Competition?

It is India’s first of its kind Clay Sculpting Competition where contestants will create a sculpture based on the theme of the day to claim the coveted ‘SuperMojo-Sculptor’ Title.

This challenge will have two separate categories – Professional and Students

Why you should participate?

ABAI Fest and Summit 2016 is a great platform to exhibit your talent, get noticed and also win exciting prizes. It’s not only about winning, but also about participating, rubbing shoulders with industry professionals, and showing a strong effort thus taking a meaningful step in the right direction for growth.

How Does It Work, the duration and what is the SuperMojo-Sculptor Title?

Simple. All contestants will assemble under a common roof on the given day and compete to create the most compelling Clay Sculpting in a controlled setting. The theme will be revealed prior to the start of the challenge. Organizers will provide organic clay and canvas. Apart from that contestant has to bring their own material. (Contestant can bring their own clay and canvas as well).

The Winner takes home exciting prizes and will wear the SuperMojo-Sculptor Title till the next year’s challenge.

The Clay Sculpting Competition start and end time will be updated shortly.It is advised to arrive one and half hours prior to the start of the challenge.

JUDGING CRITERIA

  1. A panel of experts from the Industry will judge the competition.
  2. Most important criteria for judging will be the quality, likeability of the character, and appeal of anatomy.
  3. The decision of the judges is final, based on the criteria set out in the competition, and no negotiation will be entertained over this decision.

1. Sculpting competition? Great! I am up for it. How do I participate?

You need to Register for the competition and follow all the relevant guidelines, and important dates mentioned on the site here.

2. Is this competition open for Students / Professionals? What if I am part-time studying and part-time working?

The competition has two separate categories – Students and Professionals. Be sure to select the appropriate category while filling the Registration Form. If you are a part-time student and part-time working professional, you will qualify under the Students category.

Contestants must share a link to their work in the Registration Form to be selected for the Competition. Only the best of the best will be selected and pitted against each other for the challenge.

3. When will the theme of the competition be announced?

Theme of the challenge and other specific details pertaining to this category will be revealed just before the start of the challenge. It is advised to arrive one and half hours prior to the start of the challenge

4. Apart from the prizes, will the winning entries receive feedback on the submission?

Yes. If you would like the judges or an industry expert can give you a personal feedback, either via a Live Video Call or Recorded Session.

5. What are the timings of the Competition?

6. I submitted my Registration before the deadline. Can I re-submit if I want to?

Yes, you can. Finalists will be shortlisted post the registration deadline on April 6, 2016.
